I stayed at a beach house in California with my family this summer. While we were there, we loved riding our bikes down the boardwalk and watching the interesting hoards of people on the pier. And when I say we went "people watching" I really mean that we counted the hundreds of people glued to their smartphone screens as they searched for Pokemon. So Pokemon Go is definitely a "thing", but can it be a "thing" in a classroom setting? I can't lie, I am both nervous and intrigued to see how Pokemon Go will be incorporated into the school. Will it be a plague on teachers' lives, or will we somehow be able to harness it to instruct and encourage students to learn something with it? I honestly don't know. But luckily there are some educators already trying to figure out ways to use the game in a productive manner. Check out this article "Pokemon Go... and Global Success Skills?" and make your own opinion.
